This is a flyer for a screening at the Boston Filmmaker’s Cinematheque on March 28-30 featuring Ron Rice’s films The Flower Thief, Chumlum, and Senseless. The Flower Thief features beat poets and non-professional actors in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood in 1960. Senseless, the winner of the 1963 Filmmaker’s Award at New York’s Charles Theater, is a non-narrative silent film shot on a Mexican island. Chumlum was a collaboration with underground filmmaker Jack Smith starring Warhol Factory regulars Mario Montez and Gerard Malanga.
