Poster for a series of performances by Merce Cunningham Dance Company with John Cage, David Tudor, Yvonne Rainer, Robert Morris, and Robert Rauschenberg at Stockholm’s Moderna Museet.

At the time, Rauschenberg was on a world tour with the MCDC, designing costumes, lighting, and stage sets. On September 13, he premiered a new performance piece, Elgin Tie, which saw the artist shimmy down a rope suspended from the ceiling.
