This volume, published nearly a decade after the author’s death, contains three of Smith’s novels: Skin and Bones, involving a photographer’s freak accident with chemicals causing metaphysical abnormalities; The Glorious Pool, a witty social commentary set against the backdrop of Prohibition; and Topper, perhaps Smith’s best-known work, about a banker who encounters a slew of ghosts.
