Promotional publication for a pop-up exhibition in Louisville, Kentucky, housed in the abandoned, 8,000 square foot first floor of a lithography building, which was about to be converted into apartments. The exhibition, titled “The Missing Children Show: Six Artists from the East Village on Main Street,” was organized to raise money for the Kentucky Child Victim’s Trust Fund. The publication includes a full-color page for each artist in the exhibition, including illustrations of their work along with biographical statements, quotes from the artists on their practice, and critical appraisals.
A native of Louisville, the curator Potter Coe lived in New York in the early 80s, where he worked with the East Village artists included here and ran his own art gallery.
