A fixture of the 1980s NY downtown club scene, Dianne Brill is a fashion designer, model, author, and former club kid. In the 1980s she was married to the founder of Danceteria, Rudolf Piper. Andy Warhol called her “the Queen of the Night.” Since starting her first menswear company, Gumex, in the early 1980s, she has continued to design extravagant clothes best worn at underground parties. Most recently, she was a judge for Drag Race Germany.
