Handkerchief advertising the Party of Life V, held at The Palladium. The party was held in celebration of Keith Haring, Larry Levan, and David Spada, the originators of the Party of Life; by 1995 all three had either died of AIDS-related illnesses or were suffering from opportunistic infections. The event was a benefit for AIDS organizations and featured house music legends Frankie Knuckles and Junior Vasquez.
This handkerchief continued the tradition of Party of Life invitations and promotional materials printed on garments and textiles. A who’s who of New York nightlife figures are printed on the mural-like design, including Joey Arias, Larry Levan, Keith Haring, and others.
