Flyer from a coalition of church groups urging other organizations from New York City to join a return march to Washington, a year after the famous March on Washington for Jobs & Freedom, in order to pressure Congress to pass civil rights legislation.
The landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 would indeed be passed the very next month, outlawing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
An important piece of ephemera showcasing the power of mass movements to affect American history.
