Early days of The Velvet Underground, photographed in a living room in New York City in 1965 playing “Heroin.” Adam Ritchie was photographing the event alongside filmmaker Piero Heliczer, who was creating the film “Venus in Furs.” Pictured left to right: Margaret Boyce Cam as nurse, Barbara Rubin as nun, Lou Reed, Sterling Morrison and John Cale as Lou Reed, Sterling Morrison and John Cale.
