The first book printed by levy at his Renegade Press, in an edition of 105 copies, dedicated to “the dope-freaks, poets, madmen & mother fuckers of the Lower East Side.” Of those copies, the OCLC locates 25. Between the number held institutionally and the fact that this book was one of those confiscated by the Cleveland Police Department during the raid of Jim Lowell’s Asphodel Book Shop, this title is extremely rare in the trade. The noted wear notwithstanding, this is a nice, largely clean copy of a scarce and desirable publication.
