Biker vests are perhaps the most distinctive outlaw fashion of the 20th Century, influencing the next generation of criminals in urban centers like the Black Spades in the South Bronx, who help give birth to Hip-Hop.
A prime example of outlaw fashion from a little-know group in New Jersey. From it’s birth in Southern California, biker culture grew across the country and then the world. Though small clubs like the Desperados Jersey MC didn’t make the same news as the Hell’s Angels, these crews spread the culture and crime and are an oft-forgotten piece of this history.
