Location: Boo-Hooray Summer Rental 649 Montauk Highway
Montauk, NY 11954
Curated by Sofia Leilani, this exhibition shows the amazing collection of activist buttons from the 1950s through 1970s gathered by Garrick Beck. These buttons illustrate magic and mighty moments of political dissent and counter-culture thought as displayed on leather jackets, t-shirts, and blazer lapels back in the day. The exhibit originally was staged at the much-missed Colette concept store in Paris, and was accompanied by a zine, t-shirt, and facsimile buttons all designed by Sofia.
EVERY YEAR, we have a gallery in SCENIC DOWNTOWN MONTAUK! Come visit this SUMMER!
