Cuba: Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industries, 1965. 12 x 17 in. Screenprint poster. In good condition with some slight dents and scratches to the black ink, as well as mild creasing to the left edge. Item #POS194
This poster is for a short documentary by Cuban Filmmaker Santiago Alvarez about discrimination against African-Americans in the U.S. during the 1960s. An example of both the global dimensions of the Black Freedom Struggle and socialist-produced propaganda aimed at highlighting the hypocrisy of American claims to be on the side of "freedom" in the Cold War.
