Seven Meditations on Political Sado-Masochism was a piece was written by the Living Theatre after the imprisonment of several members by the regime of Brazilian Dictator Medici. Using the structure of Sacher-Masoch’s famous book, the performance was separated into 6 “houses”: Love, Money, Property, State, War and Death, as well as a final house Revolutionary Change. It was a part of a series of plays, including The Money Tower, which they called The Legacy of Cain. This poster is from a production by the Living Theatre in Italy.
