N.P. Iraki Revolutionary Communists, n.d., post 1970s. 19 x 27 ½ in. Offset lithograph on paper. Good condition. Item #POS145
Iraqi Revolutionary communists were an anti-bathist group led by Tahsin Ali Ash-Shaikhli that advocated armed revolution in Iraq. Close with Abdullah Ocalan of the PKK, as well as other middle-eastern militant revolutionaries, they largely ceased activity after the early 1980s when leadership suffered under assassinations and persecution by the government. This poster declares their intent to fight against oppression in both English and Arabic.
