Seven Meditations on Political Sado-Masochism was a piece was written by the Living Theatre after the imprisonment of several members by the regime of the Brazilian Dictator Medici. Using the structure of Sacher-Masoch’s Venus and Furs, the performance was separated into 6 “houses”: Love, Money, Property, State, War and Death, as well as a final house of Revolutionary Change. It was a part of a series of plays, including The Money Tower, which they called The Legacy of Cain. This poster has a still from Seven Meditations on the recto and information and further pictures regarding Seven Meditations and The Legacy of Cain on the verso.
