Notes for Cassen’s Light Sculptures Program as a part of the Film-Makers’ Cinematheque New Cinema I Festival, held one night only, November 19. Program includes artist statement about the work and credits. Light sculptures include choreography by Laura Foreman, music by John Watts, and a list of dancers performing as a part of the piece. First part of artists’ statement reads,“Tonight’s program makes a point midway between the plastic arts and the art film. It utilizes light directly as a medium without the intermediary of the camera.” Annotated in the margins, “cinematheque - 434 Lafayette.”.
