Artistic and textual score for the groundbreaking and iconoclastic opera of Philip Glass and Robert Wilson, which abandoned the narrative form and orchestral accompaniment of traditional opera. First opening on January 25, 1976 it was the first score of Glass, who composed it after Wilson’s drawings, which during the performance were projected on stage. The opera featured choreography by Andre de Grote. It is considered to be one of the most significant and powerful performance works of the 20th century.
