Originally published in 1959 by Nightstand Books, this is a collection of erotic stories, some of which appeared in several men’s magazines such as Gent and Rogue. A classic collectible in the genre of sleaze paperbacks, the author Paul Merchant is in actuality a pseudonym for the science fiction writer Harlan Ellison. Harlan Ellison (b. 1934) is an acclaimed science fiction writer who, in addition to publishing thousands of short stories in his lifetime, contributed to shows like The Twilight Zone and Star Trek. The winner of prestigious awards like the Hugo and Nebula, throughout his career he has published novels under many pseudonyms including Cordwainer Bird, Ellis Hart, Paul Merchant (as here), and others.
