New York: Thurston Moore, 1982–83. Photomechanical reproduction. Saddle-stapled. [30 pp]. 8 ½ x 11 in. Very good; toning commensurate age, detached back cover on Issue 2. Item #7096

Issues 1, 2, and 4 of Thurston Moore’s hardcore zine, Killer.

Killer was Thurston Moore’s self-published fanzine covering the New York hardcore scene, from show photos to record reviews and interviews. Moore started the zine to document the growing scene and connect fans and bands, with the ancillary benefits of underground publicity for his and his friends’ bands, complimentary promo LPs, and connections with the leading bands on the scene.

These issues include album and concert reviews and interviews featuring Beastie Boys, Lydia Lunch, Black Flag, Flipper, Cause for Alarm, Swans, and Sonic Youth (Issue 2 promotes the band’s 1983 album “Confusion is Sex”) as well as fanzine listings, photos, original art, and comics.
