London: Oz Magazine, . Offset on both recto and verso. 20 x 32 in. Very good, with four fold lines from folding into eights, and four open tears (< 1 ½ in.) at both sides of the two outermost horizontal lines, where the poster was originally stapled to the magazine; these tears have given the poster a slight hourglass shape.
Rare two-sided poster published in Oz Magazine Issue No. 8 of January 1968, two months after the death of Che Guevara. The first side of the poster was surely meant to be a psychedelic homage to the revolutionary, but notoriously printed a gruesome picture of the dead revolutionary and misspelled his name: “Geuvara is Dead… Long Live Geuvara!” captions a color halftone photograph of his corpse and eulogy. A wholly unrelated sex-cum-swingers-cum-psychedelic-porn poster, “While Dad’s Away, Mums Will Play,” is printed on verso.
