Recorded in 1969 and released the following year, My Brother the Wind was the first of Sun Ra’s releases to utilize the recently-introduced Moog synthesizer; he utilized the new technology to transmit his otherworldly imagination into futuristic and never-before heard sounds, broadening the artist’s creative horizons.
