Seaman, this handbill documents a significant early New York performance by Yoko Ono featuring voice, instruments, and movements by Fluxus members and avant-garde luminaries Yvonne Rainer, La Monte Young, Jonas Mekas, Jackson Mac Low, Ay-O, George Brecht, and others.
Ono’s first major public performance, the evening consisted of three pieces titled respectively, “A Grapefruit in the world of Park,” “A Piece for Strawberries and Violin,” and “AOS – to David Tudor.”.
