This photograph of Johnny Rotten is from the first Sex Pistols promotional photoshoot, taken February 1976 by Peter Christopherson, otherwise known as “Sleazy,” who along with being a member of Throbbing Gristle and Coil, was a founding member of England-based design group Hipgnosis, responsible for some of the most iconic album covers of the 1960s and 1970s.
