A national organization, founded in 1977 as Affirmation: Gay Mormons, quickly expanded nationally and include other queer people besides gay men. These materials are from the San Francisco chapter and their activities, likely the period of the group’s largest growth in the late 1970s and early ‘80s.

A rare set of documents from the early days of this organization, illuminating the ways in which LGBTQ Mormons navigate their faith and the communities they create.
