Psychedelic issue from DC Comics featuring stories “The Touch of Life!” and “Hippie Olsen’s Hate-In'', both parodying counterculture ideas and hippies. In The Touch of Life, Superman and Jimmy Olsen take a psychedelic journey to Mexico in which they meet an indigenous medicine man. Hippie Olsen’s Hate-In involves undercover hippie disguises, life on a commune, drug-induced visions, and a picket sign protest against Superman himself. A strange document of the ways in which hippie culture proliferated throughout youth media.
