The Whole Earth Catalog was a landmark publication dreamt up by Stewart Brand, which evolved into a pre-Internet database and skillshare, offering thousands of pieces of advice, tools, supplies, diagrams, and illustrations on do-it-yourself projects for living off the grid or communally. It’s subtitle on every cover reads “access to tools”.
