Rock Magazine was founded by music journalist and Vanity Records founder Yuzuru Agi in 1976. Agi focused primarily on early electronic minimalism, post-punk oddities, deviant new-wave and granular noise synthesis in a time where Japan’s music landscape was overwhelmed by American pop and surf rock. This issue contains features on The Velvet Underground, Factory Records, and more.
