Souvenir concert program from a performance by Lou Reed and Garland Jeffries at the Cleveland Music Hall on December 22, 1972. Printed on the inside of the program the Lou Reed poem “Playing Music is not Like Athletics,” which was likely written in the period following Reed’s decision to quit the Velvet Underground and pursue poetry.
