Tulsa is a series of photographs taken from 1963 to 1971 of Larry Clark's dark world of drugs within his circle of friends. The book begins with a haiku written by Clark, though the text is in Japanese, the haiku translates to "i was born in tulsa oklahoma in 1943. when i was sixteen i started shooting amphetamine. i shot with my friends everyday for three years and then left town but i've gone back through the years. once the needle goes in it never comes out." The photographs tell a narrative, starting with the excitement and thrill of the high, smiling and laughing to fights with family members and accidental gun wounds and then ending with a dead baby in a coffin. A gruesome yet honest representation of substance abuse among youth.

Edition of 1,000.
