An Anthology of Chance Operations contains work by Jackson Mac Low, La Monte Young, John
Cage, Yoko Ono, Henry Flynt, Ray Johnson, and numerous other artists. This artist’s book played a key role in the formation of the Fluxus movement, as it was the first collaboration between avant-garde composer La Monte Young, poet, performance artist, composer and playwright Jackson Mac Low, and founder of Fluxus, George Maciunas. An early and formative example of the artist’s book, this unique publication was designed by George Maciunas and contains a varied body of work including concrete poetry, musical notation, graphics, and essays.

This copy also includes a subscription card although the publication folded after publishing only one issue.
