The Ecstatic Peace Poetry Journal was founded in 2001 by Thurston Moore and Eva Prinz. The journal’s ten issues features a wide-range of well known voices, from acclaimed poets like Eileen Myles, Ira Cohen and Dennis Cooper as well as musicians cum writers like Richard Hell, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna and Ian MacKaye. This box set was ceremoniously compiled in 2010 for the release of issue 10, celebrated by an extended event at White Columns in LA. In addition to oversized pages displayed in the space, the exhibition featured five nights of readings and performances from Moore and some of the journal’s most notable alum, Byron Coley, Anne Waldman, Hell and others. This limited edition box set - box “W” out of a series from A-Z - includes several signed posters, a reprint of a program from one of Moore’s 1997 performances and all ten Ecstatic Peace Poetry Journals, including the previously unreleased Issue 9.
