Jersey Beat was a fanzine created by Jim Testa focused mainly on the local New Jersey punk scene as well as bands along the East Coast at large. Jersey Beat was incredibly prolific: started in 1982, it ran up until 2007 as a print publication and still continues as an online publication to this day. Testa started Jersey Beat after graduating from Rutgers University, while he was frequenting New Jersey venues such as Maxwell’s.

This issue includes a feature on Hoboken based record label Coyote Records and an interview with WMFU’s John Narucki.
