Rollerderby was a zine published throughout the 1990s by Lisa Carver in Dover, New Hampshire, featuring candid interviews with a wide range of musicians and the author’s own feminist musings. Carver - aka Lisa Suckdog - got her start in the music scene as a performer with her 1980s group Psychodrama and eventually cabaret and art troupe Suckdog. It was through Suckdog that Carver interviewed many of the friends, artists and musicians who appeared in the pages of Rollerderby. She’s also the author of the zine Generation L and two books: Dancing Queen: A Lusty Look at the American Dream and Drugs Are Nice. Rollerderby No. 11 features a cover image of Cindy Dall in a photo taken by Tim Vigil. This issue features an interview with Combustion Edison, a Royal Trux color collage, a Barry Manilow concert review and fan letters, three cat drawings by Bill Callahan, as well as several pieces of personal writings from contributors.
