Program folder including contents archiving the performances held at the 22nd Avignon Festival in Avignon, France highlighting The Living Theatre’s, Paradise Now, an experimental play performed at Cloitre des Carmes July and August of 1968. Living Theatre spent four months living in Avignon creating, performing and engaging with local citizens and artists around the world. The program includes a fold-out poster illustrating Paradise Now through a hand drawing of the anatomy of a man and woman with French text beneath reading “This map is the map / the essential journey is the journey of plurality to unity / the plot is revolution”. Also includes a black and white photographic handbill of the play Mysteries and smaller pieces, a photographic playbill of Antigone de Sophocle, and a mimeographed concert bill outlining the events of the entire festival. Mimeographed in deep green ink festival logo on folder cover.
