Free Search and Destroy Potpourri [Fake Search and Destroy Zine]

San Angelo, TX: Self-published, 1985. Loose pages, once were stapled. Very Good / Crease through the center with small tears on edges and fading from age. Item #4385

DXF. San Angelo, TX, [1985-6]. Loose pages, missing staple binding. [3pp]. 8 ½ x 14 in. Offset. Horizontal crease trough center from folding, else very good.

An unlicensed, unaffiliated, and utterly weird spinoff of the popular punk fanzine Search and Destroy.

Founded in San Francisco in 1977, the original and much more well-known Search and Destroy zine had already shut down and rebranded as REsearch years before this Texas-based title was published. Authored by an individual or group identified only as DXF, the zine was based in San Angelo, Texas and devoted to the Texas punk scene. For this issue, DXF interviewed punk band 2x4 at their show with the Dead Kennedy’s at the short-lived Dallas hardcore venue Circle A Ranch.

An unusual document of punk fan culture. No copies located in OCLC.
