New York: Fuck You Press, 1965. First edition. Side-stapled into a thermofax print cover by Andy Warhol. Item #4269
4to, mimeographed from typescript and drawing.
Cover sheet lightly chipped at extremities, with a couple small portions of loss, but better than normally found - the thermal print is often missing or detached due to being of a different paper stock than the text block, and is sometimes sold separately. Rare complete.
The infamous Mad Motherfucker issue of Fuck You, with the rare Andy Warhol thermofax print from his film Couch (1964) detached, but still intact. This issue celebrated the third anniversary of Fuck You Magazine, and would be the second to last.
The starring role of Warhol's film Couch is, unsurprisingly, played by a red couch, found on the street by Factory friend Billy Name. One of Warhol's most directly pornographic films, it also includes a long list of Warhol stars and Beat icons: Billy Name, Taylor Mead, "Baby Jane" Holzer, Gerard Malanga, Ivy Nicholson and Ondine, Jack Kerouac, Gregory Corso, Peter Orlovsky, Allen Ginsberg.
“Dedicated also to all those who have been depressed, butchered, or hung up by all these family unit Nazis, fascists, war-freaks, department of license creeps, fuzz, jansenists, draft boards, parole boards, judges, academic idiots, & tubthumpers for the Totalitarian Cancer.”.
