Rarely seen, this promotional flyer for the First Annual Punk Magazine Awards Ceremony invited its viewers to attend the ill-fated event on October 13, 1978 at New York's Club Hollywood, a short-lived punk venue in the East Village. The event itself was dramatically altered by the violent murder of Nancy Spungen by British punk rocker Sid Vicious the night before. But despite the tragedy, the night went on and attracted the likes of Lou Reed, The Ramones, Debbie Harry, Harvey Keitel, and Malcolm McClarren, culminating in the inaugural party at the famed Mudd Club.
