Started in 1964 as the “Bay Area Friends of SNCC Newsletter”, a youth oriented civil rights group, The newsletter rebranded as The Movement in 1965, a fully fledged newspaper that still focused on civil rights but also charted a broad range of social justice movements. This issue from late-1968 is the Che Guevara Memorial Issue, and includes a petition to keep Eldridge Cleaver out of prison, an investigative piece on George Wallace, an interview with Jerry Rubin, and more.
