In 1983, Larry Clark released his self-published photo book titled Teenage Lust. This book is a retrospective of Clark's work from family portraits and photographs from his hometown Tulsa, Oklahoma to then settling in New York City in the 1960's, taking portraits and photographing live shots of the lives of young junkies, prostitutes, and thieves. Fourteen years later, in 1997, Taka Ishii Gallery published a Japanese version of Teenage Lust in Tokyo. The text at the end of the book written by Larry Clark in 1981 is translated to Japanese.
