8vo. (9 ¾ x 6 ¼ in.) Limited first edition. Unpaged, pictorial boards. Minimal wear though some pages are loose from binding. Bi-lingual text: German and English. 

Otto Hofmann was a colleague of Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, and the Bauhaus and like them, his art was considered “degenerate art” by the Nazis. The collages in this book were created in 1933-34, but were re-discovered by Hofmann from a storage. Copy 426 of 1000 copies (of which only 75 were to have been signed).This copy was inscribed by Timothy Baum. Annotated, “Mutually acquired by Ira, Timothy, 18. Mar. 1982 N.Y.C.”
